During her BSc studies, she was the top scorer in her class and later secured the highest marks during her post-graduation. Looking back, she attributes her love for Chemistry to the efforts and passion of the professors who taught her. She believes the inspiration to pursue a career in education often comes from one’s parents and family. Her enthusiasm for the subject remains as vibrant today as ever, and she fondly recalls her delight at coming across the line, “Cooking is Chemistry & Chemistry is Life,” in Bonnie Garmus’s 2022 novel Lessons in Chemistry, a sentiment that beautifully captures her own lifelong appreciation for the discipline and its relevance to everyday living.

For Ms. Uttara, “Leadership is not about a title. It is a mindset.” Throughout her experience, she has seen parents nurture leadership qualities at home by mentoring children, introducing them to art, and providing them with great books.
These experiences have formed her philosophy of leading by example, helping others realize their true potential, and ensuring every decision is aimed at what is best for students and the school community.

She also emphasizes that consistent professional development for teachers through workshops and seminars ensures the sustenance of quality in education.

One of the achievements Ms. Uttara finds most rewarding is the appointment of Boarding In-charges in dormitories, along with a Boarding Welfare In-charge which helps maintain a safe and engaging learning environment for students.

Ms. Uttara believes that involving educators in curriculum planning and maintaining transparency inspires greater commitment toward school goals.
