Key Background

“Paul Glantz” has been appointed Honorary Campaign Chair of “UNCF Michigan,” leveraging his leadership and philanthropic voice to a mission dedicated to educational equality. Chairman and co-founder of “Emagine Entertainment,” Glantz is best known not only for his business expertise, but for his dedication to community service. His new role is being interpreted as a significant step towards increasing scholarship opportunity and bringing awareness of historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) statewide throughout Michigan.

As a UNCF advocate, Glantz will make the case for more funding of programs that benefit students via scholarships, college-readiness efforts, and direct support to HBCUs. His efforts will open doors of donor engagement and increase the presence of the mission of UNCF in the region. UNCF Michigan is a critical partner in opening doors of minority students to quality higher education without the attendant burden of debilitating debt.

Patrice M. Neal, UNCF Michigan Area Development Director, greeted Glantz with complete confidence in his leadership taking the campaign into the future. She mentioned that he possessed values totally on common ground with UNCF’s mission: empowering minority students with opportunity and education. Through Glantz’s advocacy, the group seeks to create a wider foundation of support and long-term sustainability of its scholarship and mentorship initiatives.

Since its founding in 1944, the United Negro College Fund has guided the direction of generations of students by organizing private resources on behalf of Black education. In the absence of federal aid in Michigan, UNCF exists exclusively on corporate and individual contributions. Hires like the hiring of Paul Glantz to their leadership team are reflective of constructing a more one, more mighty future of scholastic achievement for underrepresented groups.
