Investment is following innovation. Global EdTech funding exceeded $20 billion last year, with AI capabilities increasingly seen as the key differentiator. Investors are no longer looking just for growth — they’re looking for impact at scale.
But as these startups scale, so does their risk surface. Cloud-based grading, emotion detection, and generative content all raise crucial questions:
- Who owns the data?
- Who audits the AI models?
- Who notifies schools when breaches occur?
The best founders already understand true innovation isn’t just about solving problems. It’s about solving them securely.
The Responsibility of CXOs and Policymakers
