Background
CampusKnot, an AI-powered teaching assistant platform for higher education, has raised $1.1 million to expand its reach across universities in the United States.
32 universities already use the platform, which helps faculty members save time and increase interaction in the class. Artificial intelligence is used by the platform to generate questions, monitor involvement, and even perform the grading of assignments. Besides that, it also provides summarized versions of discussions, thus revealing to the teachers the students who are actively participating and those who probably need more support.
With the new funding, CampusKnot plans to grow its team in sales, engineering, and customer success and expand across more campuses. The company will also strengthen partnerships with VitalSource and Follett, which provide access to over 1,000 campuses in the U.S.
“Our vision is to make teaching more effortless and fun,” said Rahul Gopal, Co-founder and CEO of CampusKnot. “Students want quick feedback and real connections with their professors, but many educators lack the time and tools to make that happen. CampusKnot acts as an intelligent assistant that helps them do this in real time. We aim to use AI practically and responsibly to make learning more engaging.”
Dr. Alex Joubin from George Washington University added that AI in education should “not replace learning but help students think deeply and explore new ideas.”
By combining AI technology with real classroom needs, CampusKnot aims to make teaching simpler, smarter, and more interactive, helping universities improve both teaching and student learning experiences.
