Background
Avantis Education has launched EduverseSTEM, a new VR and AR learning suite built for students aged 11 to 18. The platform combines the company’s ClassVR Xcelerate headsets with a wide content library mapped to major curriculum standards, including the UK National Curriculum, IB programmes, NGSS and ACARA.
EduverseSTEM offers more than 500 STEM experiences along with unlimited creation tools. The suite also includes modules built around Project-Based Learning, following a Gold Standard PBL framework aligned to PBLWorks and Cambridge Global Perspectives. Each project comes with full teacher guidance, session plans, learning objectives and key vocabulary.
The platform brings together Avantis Education’s own curriculum-linked STEM content with material from partner developers, including AttainXR, Delightex Edu, iXRLabs, Filament Games, Proteus Labs, Singer Studios and VictoryXR. Schools get access to this combined library through one subscription.
Traditional STEM teaching often relies on lecture-style methods, which can make it hard for students to link ideas across subjects. Many schools also struggle with lab costs, equipment, classroom safety and keeping students engaged. EduverseSTEM aims to address these issues by supporting both single-subject and cross-subject learning through immersive VR and AR tools.
Subscriptions run on three or five-year licences and support seven languages. As with other ClassVR products, EduverseSTEM includes real-time classroom monitoring and built-in safeguarding controls, giving teachers oversight during lessons.
