Background
Inspired Education has announced a €30 million investment in a new global scholarship initiative, after unprecedented demand for its flagship Nsouli Scholars Programme highlighted the scale of unmet demand for high-quality education among talented young people worldwide.
The programme will offer up to 500 scholarships each year across Inspired’s global group of more than 125 schools, creating opportunities for hundreds of pupils whose families need financial support to access an Inspired education.
The initiative follows rapid growth in the Nsouli Scholars Programme, which received 1,428 applications from pupils representing 95 nationalities across every inhabited continent this year, marking a 353% increase since the programme launched in 2024. Inspired said the scale and diversity of applications revealed a broader global challenge, with thousands of ambitious young people showing the ability to thrive but lacking the financial means to access such opportunities.
Applications have grown most sharply in regions where educational access and affordability remain major barriers. Since launch, applications from Sub-Saharan Africa have risen by 574%, now making up 60% of all applications received. Applications from the Middle East and North Africa have more than tripled, while demand has doubled across Asia Pacific, Latin America and Europe.
Nadim M. Nsouli, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Inspired Education, said the programme’s growth showed that exceptional talent exists everywhere, while too many young people remain excluded from opportunity due to financial circumstances. He added that the initiative reflected a long-term commitment to widening access to education and creating pathways for future leaders and innovators.
The programme is expected to strengthen diversity across Inspired’s schools by welcoming pupils from broader socioeconomic backgrounds.
