Geeta University is a rapidly emerging institution in Panipat, Haryana, and has emerged as one of the fastest-growing institutions of higher learning in North India, with a progressive academic vision and a student-centered approach. The university, which places a strong focus on innovation, industry, and global readiness, is expected to be the first AI-enabled university in North India, where artificial intelligence will be implemented across learning, governance, and campus life.
This interview explores the changing nature of this university, the philosophy of leadership, and the vision of developing a future-ready university that balances academic excellence and real-world impact.
—————————————————————————————————————–
Q1. What inspired the vision of positioning Geeta University as North India’s first AI-enabled university, and how did your leadership shape this direction?
Answer
Geeta University in Panipat is also branding itself as North India’s first AI-enabled university, incorporating artificial intelligence throughout its campus systems, teaching methods, and student experience, not just as an academic subject, but as an integral part of the university’s basic functioning and education delivery going on around us –
- Educating students to live in a technology-driven future
The primary reason for this decision by the university is to provide its students with the skills required for the future job market. The growth in AI technology means there is a high demand for tech jobs such as AI, robotics, data science, automation, cybersecurity, and business analytics. The inclusion of AI technology in the curriculum and operations in the students’ learning environment will help students. - Improving Learning Experience with AI
Geeta University applies AI technology in various aspects of university life, including:
✔ Smart Classes and Online Learning Platforms powered by Artificial Intelligence
✔ Artificially intelligent attendance management and university services
✔ Personalized instructional recommendations such as learning assistance, alerts, and reports
✔ Artificial intelligence-assisted library and research services.
As the Pro-Chancellor of the University, a significant change in direction is necessary to realize the vision of an AI-enabled future. This involves not only the adoption of new technologies but also a shift in mindset.
And here’s how leadership should bring it about in a clear strategic manner:
Shift the Vision: From Traditional Education to Future-Ready Education, Foster Cultural Change Among Faculty and Staff, Redesign Academic Strategy & Curriculum, AI for Smart Governance & Administration, Foster Industry & Global Partnerships
Q2. How do your responsibilities as Pro-Chancellor align with the university’s mission of academic excellence and innovation?
Answer
Being the Pro-Chancellor, I am essentially working in the same context as the mission statement at Geeta University aims at providing academic excellence, innovation-driven education, and producing future-ready students. In this context, my duties include influencing the overall policy at the institution regarding the academic ecosystem that remains globally benchmarked, industry-focused, and ethics-driven.
An important aspect of my leadership agendas is the promotion of a robust academic culture and quality framework, ranging from curriculum enhancement, innovation, and research orientation practices. At Geeta University, we incorporate emerging areas such as AI, Data Science, Cyber Security, Digital Transformation, Health Care, Law, Hospitality, and Management into our programs, ensuring these stay updated according to global industry trends.
Our mission of excellence is also embodied in:
● AI-powered learning environments based on outcomes
● industry-specific training and certifications
● global academic collaborations and exposure routes, skill-based, and interdisciplinary studies programs.
Such programmes enable our students not only to acquire knowledge but also to develop capabilities, confidence, and readiness for employability.
Additionally, I work in partnership with the leadership teams on building innovation ecosystems on campuses, such as incubation services, hackathons, research endeavors, and direct industry engagement programs. The innovative culture can also be witnessed in the endeavors of the students, faculty-driven projects, as well as the exemplary performance of alumni in the industry.
Our achievements, such as the highest package of ₹40 LPA with 500+ recruiting companies, internships abroad, and 3000+ certifications, can only culminate in Aspire’s quest for excellence with relevant outcomes.
Innovation should always be significant, ethical, and people-focused. Excellence should emphasize hard work, rigor, and a profound dedication to our students.
Essentially, being a Pro-Chancellor entails more than administrative duties. My role as a Pro-Chancellor entails the following: inspiring purposeful leadership, enabling strong academic teams, enabling students as future leaders and innovators.
Q3. In what ways does Geeta University’s institutional culture reflect your personal leadership philosophy?
Answer
As Pro-Chancellor, my leadership tenets are founded on the conviction that excellence and innovation should be incorporated into the culture of the university and not seen as specific objectives. At Geeta University, this tenet can be seen in how we learn, teach, govern, or grow.
I believe that excellence should be shared, maintained through strong academic standards, and an appreciation for excellence, both through evaluation and an admiration for excellence in education. Innovation, as I believe, is more of an attitude than an organizational unit. I foster an environment where innovation, interdisciplinary thinking, and appropriate usage of emerging technologies like AI should be an important part of how we improve outcomes.
I believe that my leadership style is future-centric. I make it a function of our culture to be adaptable and aligned with global trends so that Geeta University is future-centric and looks ahead.
Most importantly, I am convinced that true progress must be inclusive and human-focused. Our culture values inclusiveness, access, diversity, and equality in terms of providing excellence and innovation opportunities to all of us, as members of our academic community.
Essentially, my role as Pro-Chancellor is to ensure that Geeta University is strengthened as an institution that seeks academic excellence through integrity, innovation by purpose, and education that brings transformation to lives.
Q4. What major challenges did you and the University face during this transformation journey, and how were they addressed?
Answer
Transformation is never a linear journey.
As Geeta University evolved into a globally connected and technology-enabled institution, we faced natural challenges — each of which strengthened our organizational maturity.
A key challenge was balancing rapid institutional growth with sustained academic quality. With our student strength growing to 8,000+ learners, including a diverse international community, we had to strengthen mentoring systems, student support structures, governance and quality frameworks.
Another challenge was keeping programs aligned with global and industry expectations, which led us to implement:
● curriculum benchmarking exercises
● structured faculty upskilling across multiple domains
● stronger research and innovation orientation
● increased industry advisory participation
We also invested in inclusive academic support models, especially for students from varied linguistic, cultural, and educational backgrounds.
Our approach remained rooted in: structured planning, data-driven decision making, collaborative leadership, continuous feedback and institutional improvement.
Challenges, to me, are not obstacles — they are growth milestones in the life of an institution.
Phases of transformation may bring about uncertainties. At the same time, we are always student-centric in our approach by keeping them informed, improving the student mentorship process, and focusing on personalized services for their continuity and assurance.
Q5. How does Geeta University stay ahead in technology-driven education, and what role do you play in guiding this progress?
Answer
As a pro chancellor of GEETA UNIVERSITY, the first AI-enabled university in North India.
I have always envisioned that future-ready learning needs to be flexible, technology-savvy, skills-centric, and globally relevant. Our leadership emphasis has remained on developing an academic environment that enables students to learn, discover, and achieve in a rapidly changing world.
Whether it is AI-infused smart classrooms and e-learning platforms, data-driven academic monitoring and analytics, and even academic support services, technology permeates all levels of education without undermining human mentorship and academic imperatives.
The “Design Your Own Degree” initiative that we offer reflects this belief in personalized education. It encourages students to capitalize on their ability to design their own paths by selecting interdisciplinary combinations, electives, and skill modules based on their personal interests and industry requirements.
The Geeta Technical Hub is a critical part of the process that offers students experiential learning, innovation, and research. The state-of-the-art labs, project work that connects to the industry, and awareness about cutting-edge technologies help students learn and function proficiently and creatively.
Above, we emphasize vocational and skills-oriented education by combining these elements in academic programs. This leads to academic students being able to develop skills that make them more employable and even entrepreneurial.
Our “GEETA UNIVERSITY Global Edge” initiative embodies our passion for worldwide engagement and global best practices. By engaging with the world through global research collaborations and university partnerships, student exchanges, and globally integrated curricula, we are preparing our students to compete and work together on a worldwide platform.
Q6. Which achievements or recognitions stand out as meaningful milestones in this journey?
Answer
Every achievement of Geeta University is a collective milestone.
Some recognitions are especially meaningful because they reflect trust and credibility — trust from students, parents, faculty, industry partners, and international collaborators.
Our journey today reflects:
● a multicultural student community from 30+ countries,
● strong academic collaborations with leading global institutions
● significant student participation in internships, projects & placements
● growth into one of North India’s rapidly emerging future-ready universities
From a leadership perspective, witnessing the evolution of Geeta Group of Institutions into Geeta University, and seeing it transform into a globally aware, innovation-driven, AI-enabled learning ecosystem has been deeply fulfilling.
On a personal level, one of my most profound milestones is to lead this transformation while keeping the centre of every initiative at academic integrity, an inclusive environment, and student outcomes.
I am proud to enhance systems that connect education to employability, using GTH, placement-driven curricula, and partnerships with industry. Investing in faculty empowerment, infrastructure development, and accountability-based innovation culture are core elements in my journey as a higher education leader.
Each milestone, therefore, strengthens our conviction that true success is all about outcomes that matter—student growth, employability, innovation, and societal impact.
As Pro-Chancellor, I am committed to leading Geeta University toward sustained excellence, stronger industry integration, and global relevance, ensuring that every student’s journey culminates in meaningful career opportunities and lifelong learning.
Q7. How do you balance the demands of leading a fast-evolving university with personal well-being?
Answer
As a Pro-Chancellor for such a rapidly expanding and future-ready institution like Geeta University, I believe that leadership can be made sustainable only with purpose, clarity, discipline, and balance in mind.
Work life at an institution of higher education is ever-changing: each day carries multiple strategic decisions, academic planning, innovation projects, student interactions, besides responsibilities as an institution.
What keeps me anchored is the realization that all that I do affects the lives of thousands of young students spread over 22 states and 31+ countries worldwide.
I am privileged to have a supportive and energetic leadership ecosystem – including university leaders, faculty, operational staff, and administrators – in which:
● responsibilities are well-structured,
● collaboration is encouraged, and
● they are more process-driven rather than centralized.
This further helps in maintaining a strategic decision-making process and ensures that the motivational force of the management focuses on prioritizing long-run areas like academic excellence, industry interactions, global collaborations, placements, and development activities instead of being extensively engaged in implementation activities.
Another strong motivator is regular interaction with students: be it listening to their ambitions, reviewing their achievements, or understanding their challenges. These engagements bring immense positivity and constantly reinforce our institutional purpose, with our students securing strong outcomes from ₹40 LPA packages to global internships and industry certifications.
For that, I personally follow a disciplined routine that allows space for:
● strategic reflection and learning,
● more structured decision-making, rather than constant availability,
with family time and personal well-being.
I firmly believe that sustainable leadership commences with personal clarity and emotional balance: one cannot guide an institution towards excellence when worn out or disconnected from values.
Not every issue needs immediate intervention—capable teams need to be empowered, trusted, and mentored to lead.
Setting healthy boundaries around time, prioritizing what truly matters, and space to think deeply helps me stay focused, calm, and effective.
Leadership is not staying busy all the time; it is about thoughtful decisions that create lasting impact.
Q8. What leadership values do you believe are essential for building future-ready universities?
Answer
LEADERSHIP VALUES SHAPING A FUTURE-READY GEETA UNIVERSITY
As Pro-Chancellor, it’s my view that in order to be a future-ready university, we must be led by values that are centered around people, with a focus on ethics and adaptable thinking, rather than just technology and physical assets.
Although ranking, research, and inventions are important, it’s our values that ultimately make a difference in our world.
Geeta University today is a thriving International Learning Ecosystem with students from 22 Indian States and 31+ International Countries, and has established itself as one of the fastest-growing AI-universities from North India. With successful outcomes such as ₹40 LPA highest placement, 500+ recruiters, 3000+ internships and certifications, and an academic setup, we look ahead into the future through our values.
- Vision with Purpose
A future-proof university should be visionary and mission-focused. The management should not only react to change but should rather predict it. Our vision at Geeta University encompasses: excellence in education, innovation and emerging technologies, societal responsibility, and global citizenship.
This purpose-driven strategy has helped us achieve our mission of establishing a learning community of more than 8,000 students for global careers and entrepreneurship.
- Commitment to Excellence
There are no results, only the process of becoming and doing, and excellence is a process.
We actively cultivate: high academic standards, strong work ethics, research-oriented learning culture.
Our increasing reputation, industry accreditation, as well as the success we have in job placement, serve as an affirmation of this focus.
- Innovation with Responsibility
Innovation needs to have ethics and relevance to society and to human beings.
At Geeta University, AI-powered learning environments, experiential and outcome-based education, and interdisciplinary projects.
Our students are working on actual innovations, whether technology-related or impacting society, to ensure that innovation stays focused and driven by purpose rather than just market trends.

We concentrate on:
● employability & industry readiness
● entrepreneurship & leadership development
● holistic personal & professional development

We measure our success not only by placements but by talented and confident graduates with values.
- Empowerment & Trust
We believe in:
empowering faculty & leaders, establishing trust and cooperation, excellence and contributions recognition.
This culture promotes innovation, accountability, and collective responsibility.
We measure our success not only by placements but by talented and confident graduates with values.
Q9. What advice would you give to students and young professionals who aspire to become leaders?
Answer
Speaking for myself as Pro-Chancellor, my counsel to students and young professionals operates around a single tenet: in today’s world, leadership is measured not by title but by skills, agility, and impact-oriented conviction.
Start by working on your skills. Academic knowledge is important, but leadership is the result of applying that knowledge. Get as much experience as possible in areas such as problem-solving, communication, and critical thinking. At Geeta University, we strongly promote and practice skill-based education because this is what enables you to lead effectively, no matter where you go.
Secondly, adopt the culture and spirit of continuous learning and adaptability. The world today is undergoing rapid changes, and this is influenced by technology and innovation. Leaders are those who are constantly curious and eager to learn and adapt to change before change actually happens.
Third, innovation and start-ups have an important role to play in determining our future. Whether you want to start a start-up or introduce an innovation mentality within an organization, you will stand out thanks to innovation and initiative. We are big fans of start-ups and innovations simply because to lead is to dare and build something from scratch.
Fourth, establish an ethical framework. To become a leader, one needs to encompass integrity, accountability, and empathy. Whatever is created with technology and accomplished needs to be influenced by values and respect for humanity and society.
Fifth, exposure and mentorship in real-life scenarios must also be experienced. Industry engagement and learning from live projects and startups are musts for leadership development and learning from both successes and failures.
At last, always keep in mind that the importance of being a leader has nothing to do with a title or position.
At Geeta University, we continue to be committed to educating future leaders through skills, innovation, entrepreneurship, and startups, ensuring that each learner is equipped not only to succeed in life but also lead.
Q10. Looking ahead, what are your long-term goals for Geeta University and how do they align with your vision for higher education?

● a competent professional
